[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 27" ViewFinity s8 5K High Resolution monitor is exceptional and such a massive upgrade over my existing 1080p monitor. I work from home, and this monitor is absolutely perfect for displaying multiple windows at once with great clarity and resolution. Its honestly like getting a new pair of eyes compared to my last monitor. I do a lot of coding and UX testing, and the 5K resolution really helps to see both UX and code on the same screen without the need for a second monitor. The colors pop and video playback is smooth and detailed. I could not be more happier with his monitor and I feel I have become more productive since using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor has been excellent for productivity. I like the sharpness of the monitor which makes it easier to read the text. One of the few 5K monitors available in the market right now. The multiple connectivity options provided below the Samsung logo on the front make it super easy to charge my devices while I use the monitor. The built-in KVM functionality helps me switch between my work and personal computer super easily and I can move my keyboard and mouse without having to reconnect them. Samsung display manager software helps configure all the needed features like Picture in Picture, display color etc. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for best all in one monitor mainly focusing on productivity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung monitor is an amazing upgrade to my workspace. I personally use my monitor for administrative work--lots of spreadsheets, web application use, and video calls. The design to the screen showed itself early on--putting it together out of the box was easy. It took me less than 5 minutes to get it out of the box and ready to use. There are little deisgn details everywhere that makes this monitor feel that much nicer. For me, those details are things like the cord spot to manage cord chaos and then the easy access ports. Even when the easy access ports are full, i just swivel the monitor to access the back ports. I also have a strong personal perference for a physical button, and this monitor fits the bill. Finally, I adjust the screen throughout using the monitor for things like video calls with my external webcam, which is a really easy thing to do. On the techy side of things, i really like the 5k. It is such a great experience looking at a beautiful screen. Since looking at the screen is the whole point of the monitor, I am personally pleased with the eye saver mode. I feel like I notice a difference when I turn that mode on. Finally, a feature that I've used more and enjoyed more than expected is the KVM switch. It's been a fantastic addition that makes it easy for me to switch between my work computer and personal computer. The only drawback is i wish I could charge my phone with the usbc port without the screen being on. It's not a huge deal, but I do with there were a way to leave my phone at my desk to charge using my monitor. I am absolutely happy wiht this monitor and highly recommend it if you're staring at a screen all day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ViewFinity S8 monitor has been an excellent choice so far. With its impressive 5k 27-inch screen, it’s a powerhouse for productivity. I use it daily for work, and it’s a significant upgrade from the 24-inch 1080p monitors provided by my job. For reference, this monitor boasts a whopping 218 PPI compared to the 92 PPI of my previous monitor. Text is exceptionally sharp and easy to read, regardless of the distance I sit from the screen. I can work through spreadsheets, code, and watch videos much better than before. For my use case, I connect either my work laptop or Mac mini directly to the monitor via the USB-C port. This is incredibly convenient, especially since it charges my laptop and allows me to connect peripherals like a webcam, keyboard, mouse, microphone, headphones, and more directly to the monitor. This eliminates the need to reconnect my accessories when switching between devices. Despite the convenience, I still prefer having two monitors, so I often use it daisy-chained as my secondary monitor (the first monitor has a USB-C in and a USB-C out port). Windows occasionally encounters some issues with this setup, but I’ve found it easy to resolve by cycling through “USB-C Preference” in the settings menu. Unfortunately, the ViewFinity’s productivity and media consumption capabilities are where its benefits end. The screen’s resolution is unfortunately limited to 60Hz, making it unsuitable for high-end gaming. However, 1440p scaling with 5k is excellent, so running games at that resolution is a great experience. If you don’t need a USB-C port and gaming is a must, the Odyssey G8 offers a 5K display but at a higher refresh rate of 180Hz. ` Lastly, the build quality of the ViewFinity is somewhat disappointing. It’s predominantly made of plastic and has a noticeable amount of flex. The ports also shift slightly when plugged in with cables or peripherals. While this may be a minor inconvenience, it’s a worthwhile tradeoff if the monitor is priced accordingly. I also appreciate that it features height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and pivot functionality. This allows me to position the monitor vertically or horizontally depending on the task at hand. Overall, I highly recommend this monitor to anyone seeking an excellent productivity monitor.

It is the perfect size for working from home as it allows me to have multiple windows and tabs open at the same time without having to switch back and forth or minimize. In the past I used 2 monitors and, while I thought this was the most efficient, I always felt like I was losing where I was. The clarity of the display is unparalleled. It has a 5K resolution (5120 x 2880) with a high pixel density which provides 77% more pixels than 4K. I use a lot of photos and videos as part of my Travel Agent business and when I look at some of the photos of the hotels I'm booking, I feel like I am there the picture appears so real! I find I'm turning into a Samsung household with every new electronic purchase!

The 5K picture is extremely clear and crisp, both text and graphics appear sharp. The screen is actually large enough that I am able to have multiple browser windows opened at the same time. This display was also easy to connect to my laptop with a single usb-c cable. The base of the display is adjustable for height, tilt, and swivel so it was simple to find a position where I could view the screen at eye level. My only small concern with this display is its refresh rate. I would say this display is not great for super gamer types. It works fine for what I need but I know someone who games alot might not like the low refresh rate. For me, this display works great.

And the crispness of this monitor's 5K panel has been a wonderful experience during the workday. Excel workbooks are crisp and easy to navigate on this monitor. Reading PDFs and webpages is very easy on the eyes with this monitor. I do not like to use darkmode, and so the white space on the webpages and applications is not overpowering with this monitor. This fact tips a hat to the quality of the 5K panel design. The refresh rate is great, and I have not grown tired of looking at this monitor every day. Set up and assembly were remarkably easy. To be honest, almost comically easy. Once you take the screen out of the box, it pops onto the stand, and you are ready to go. I was very impressed by the ease of setup with very clear instructions. This would be very easy to set up at work without taking much time or requiring many tools during assembly. You could bring this with you to work and not have any fuss setting it up. One thing about this monitor that surprised me was the built-in easy connection dock that allows you to plug items into the monitor that travel through the USB-C cable to your computer. I use this monitor with a MacBook Air, and I only have 2 USB ports on that Mac. With only the USB-C plugged into my MacBook, I am able to have my keyboard, webcam, and other accessories plugged into my MacBook without having to use additional USB ports on my MacBook itself. This is a wonderful feature of this monitor. This monitor is for the working professional who sits in front of it for 8 to 10 hours a day. The ViewFinity is easy on the eyes and has the features you need to make using your existing tech hardware a breeze. It does not matter if you are writing Code, reading text, or working in a browser; this monitor’s 5K panel will be crisp in your working environments and allow you to continue working for long periods without needing to take a break. The menu is easy to navigate, and there are plenty of USB-A and C ports to accommodate your needs. I have used a lot of high-end resolution monitors in my day, and this one, with its feature set, is a wonderful monitor for the working professional.
