Why is my vacuum making strange noises?

If your Samsung vacuum cleaner makes a loud noise when you first switch it on, there is usually no need to worry. To help protect the motor, the appliance is designed to start at a lower speed before gradually increasing to full power. During this brief start-up process, you may hear a louder-than-usual noise while the motor stabilises. This is normal operation and is not a fault with the appliance.

If the noise continues during use or becomes unusually loud, check that the dustbin is empty and that the filters are clean and correctly fitted. A blocked filter or airflow restriction can affect performance and cause the vacuum cleaner to work harder than normal.
